Our new vacuum cleaner!

I have found a new way to clean the floor:

It works very well. It even does Lego.
It also cleans wood.

If the mountian won't come!

We finally went camping!

We found a few families in the ward that were planing a over night camp and we tagged along too.
We didn't get started until Mike got home from work, so we got to the campsite late. On the freeway going to the campsite we saw rain, yeah over the campsite. But it was light and we thought.. not a problem!! famous last words. we manage to put up our new tent, but as we started to peg it down the heavens open and it poured and started to thunder and lightening ha ha.
we all jumped into our cars to wait it out.
Half way  through the storm, Mike and I needed to check that the tent was waterproof and not needing extra protection, so we hopped out and ran for the tent. Mike made it, I didn't. Not sure what I landed on apart from a large wet muddy puddle in my only jeans!
Well the Mom in me couldn't go home after 20 minutes at the campsite when the boys have been asking to camp for 2 years! So we stayed the night and went home after breakfast.
2 days later the foot and knee was still very painful, so we sent the kids off to school and took a trip the the ER.
Luckily no big broken bones but a strained knee in a brace and a badly bruised ankle and broken little toe in a bandage and crutches make looking after a baby hard!
So I spent the last 2 weeks on the couch with my leg on a pillow and a baby on the floor next to it.
How has Wil taken to this?...Wil has decided that if mom can't come to him, He will go to Mom!
I had been hoping that he would take after Tom and not walk untill 13 months old. I have already have had a under 1 walking and it's no fun.
But Wil has a dislike to crawling, in fact we have spent months trying to get him to TURN OVER. and in the space of 1 week he has learns to turn over wiggle to the couch and pull himself UP... and in good kiddy thinking, LET GO and fall down. Over and over and over again.

I found a T

I was hunting up a big T- shirt for Wil to wear as he has had a high temp and I didn't want to cover him up to much and came across this T-shirt that was given to us for Tom!
Thought the family would have a laugh too.

For the American side of family
For the English side of the Family

And this is what he wore at night!

Easter

Last year I hunted high and low (meaning I visited alot of stores) to find hot cross buns but didn't find any. In England these are eaten on Good Friday. They are a dried fruit bread roll with a cross on top to remind us of the cruifiction of our Lord on that day. This year I found a recipe for Hot Cross buns and cooked my own. They came out great and we all loved them... but I went shopping for Easter Dinner and guess what our local supermarket was selling Hot Cross Bun!!!

Saturday we had a Egg Hunt with 78 plastic eggs filled with candy....

 Wil Found an Egg too..
And with Daddy's help found out what was inside!
mmm..... this wrapper makes a great noise.
I hid them Everywhere...I had too there where alot of eggs needing hiding places.
Each egg only had 2 candy in them!!!!
But they enjoyed hunting for them, and they are still finding lost ones!

All My Men

I was in the thrift store looking for Sunday Clothes for wil when I came across a little pair of Black sunday pants, just like his older brothers, I just had to buy and a little white shirt too.
That Sunday all the boys looked great.

To be Wil or not to be Will

Yes! William is now 7 months old. I was going to write a post of Wil at 6 months, but Wil caught a cold and this lead to me not having too many brains from very little sleep. In fact after 10 nights of little sleep ( each night total sleep was 3 hours) Mike ask me how I could be walking around and shopping and driving!! ( ha Ha). My reply was that I was so numb that I didn't feel ANYTHING. Not even in nursing and all the night work and shift changes was it as bad as when Wil was sick with a cold.... bring on the teething!!!
Another thing I have found out with having 3 kids that we are alot more relaxed. where as with 1 and 2 we were strong in making sure we call the kids by their full name until their first birthday then shorten it down to the nick name, William has always be Wil, but it seems things are not always as they are. As mile and I have been spelling Wil's name differently, Mike as Will and I have been writing Wil, the debate is on to what way will last!!!!!!
'Anyway back to that last 7 months and all what has happen with Wil!
Alot of learning has been going on and not all of it being the baby's. How long it takes for teeth to drop down into gums and then cut. what food a sensitive stomach can handle and how much a baby can TALK.
These are just some of the difficulties we have faced.
What has Will llearnt.. well
He smiles and talks
He can sit up and Talk.
throw Cheerios on floor and Talks ( I'm sure the cheerios multiply when they hit the floor)
Play peek-a-boo with his brothers and any blanket that is handy and talks.
wakes at 3am and talks!!!
Anyway to the Photos of the last few months enjoy the quiet view of our little boy!
Look I can Rock myself.

Right out of my chair!

I can sit up all by myself....But refuse to go on my tummy!!!!

I CAN swing myself.

A big boy tub.

General conference fun.

The only thing I put in my mouth is Mum Mums and any finger I can get hold of.

Yeah I can slime everything!

Bad side effect of hair cutting

My hair has been growing since may without any cutting and by Christmas it was driving me insane, being too long and not staying up. As we were trying not to put Christmas on any cards this year there were no extra money for me to visit the hair dressers. So i asked Mike to cut it, then I asked Mike to cut it. But Mike likes long hair so he was not ever available to cut it.
So I did in a fit of a temper one morning when 3 boys was too much for 1 mom!..... I cut off the ponytail, way to short, but boy did it feel great. Didn't look good but I had short hair again and I felt alot less angry.
I wouldn't tell anyone to follow this example and would caution everyone NOT to do it in anger. But it still did feel great.
Anyway this type of behaviour doesn't pay and you know what they say about kids coping their parents actions.......
Yes Tom came home from school minus the front part of his hair, his "bangs" is US and his "fringe" in English.
all due a fit of temper due to a young lady not liking him.
I think he has learned that this was NOT the best thing to do in front of a whole class room of friends.
anyway being the mean mom I am I took pictures of him, not of me ( I hid the camera for 2 weeks so that no one could sneak a photo of me) and I'm posting them here for all to see!!

After cutting it equally we had to use hair gel....
