We finally went camping!
We found a few families in the ward that were planing a over night camp and we tagged along too.
We didn't get started until Mike got home from work, so we got to the campsite late. On the freeway going to the campsite we saw rain, yeah over the campsite. But it was light and we thought.. not a problem!! famous last words. we manage to put up our new tent, but as we started to peg it down the heavens open and it poured and started to thunder and lightening ha ha.
we all jumped into our cars to wait it out.
Half way through the storm, Mike and I needed to check that the tent was waterproof and not needing extra protection, so we hopped out and ran for the tent. Mike made it, I didn't. Not sure what I landed on apart from a large wet muddy puddle in my only jeans!
Well the Mom in me couldn't go home after 20 minutes at the campsite when the boys have been asking to camp for 2 years! So we stayed the night and went home after breakfast.
2 days later the foot and knee was still very painful, so we sent the kids off to school and took a trip the the ER.
Luckily no big broken bones but a strained knee in a brace and a badly bruised ankle and broken little toe in a bandage and crutches make looking after a baby hard!
So I spent the last 2 weeks on the couch with my leg on a pillow and a baby on the floor next to it.
How has Wil taken to this?...Wil has decided that if mom can't come to him, He will go to Mom!
I had been hoping that he would take after Tom and not walk untill 13 months old. I have already have had a under 1 walking and it's no fun.
But Wil has a dislike to crawling, in fact we have spent months trying to get him to TURN OVER. and in the space of 1 week he has learns to turn over wiggle to the couch and pull himself UP... and in good kiddy thinking, LET GO and fall down. Over and over and over again.

Sorry about your foot. Fun camping memories though. Was the tent waterproof?
