The High Life

For Wil's birthday we brought him a backpack carrier. I did alot of research and settled on one I liked, But it was $150 retailed, way way out of our price range. Thanks to ebay we got a second hand one ALOT cheaper!!
Anyway we had to check it out so took a short outing on saturday to a nice little placed with waterfalls!! Wil loved it and we loved not having a stroller.
Anyway the photos taken of the waterfalls were not as cute as the ones taken of Wil in his backpack.. I just had to post them for all to see.

Impressive views

Cute view here two.

Here too.

Too cute.

These are too.

I can't wait for teenage years!

They need to stay cute like this.

I think it must be the backpack making smiles.

It fit both these sons.

Heat, Earthquake, Hurricane and Flood.

Yeah we are getting them all this session: Summer was very very hot- heat index 135f, then we got a 5.8 earthquake followed 3 days later by the hurricane Irene ( lots and lots of wind) now the leftovers of hurricane Lee is sat on top of us flooding the area ( our old neighbourhood is heavily flooded!). I'm watching the news each night to find out what is next! for the week.
Anyway the only photos I have are after Irene and the apartment complex, they are a little shaky as I had Wil Wiggling in a backpack carrier.

Drat the car escaped any tree limbs!.

Wil is walking

yeah, our live have just got busier. Now that Wil can walk (he has been walking for 3 weeks now) he is off into EVERYTHING. we thought with him crawling was bad,but now he can see and reach more! every surface at waist height and below needs to be explored, touched and emptied! And as for my hair brush it's anyone guess where it is!. no sooner it is found and replaced it's gone again!
The family are also going through a intense training programme at the moment to remember to lower the toilet seat! Poor Tom is often losing minute off his computer time for this.
Wil loves to follow Ashton around and Ashton just loves to hug Wil which he is loves. So both boys are loving having a baby brother to play with and Tom just loves to care for him. I do very little carrying of Wil as Tom with do it or even take him from me!

Will add photo, just reliesed we don't have any!!! off to get some.

Summer Holidays are here

Yes it is that time of the year again, long hot days of Kids at home and it being 95f outside!!
We are trying to mesh both the older boys need to do things and a baby NEED to sleep twice a day!
So far it's working. The the older boys on the computer during morning nap time and TV time in the afternoon nap time! Wil is a VERY light Sleeper.

We found a robot at the junk store the other day!
Wil just loves to chase it around the room.

We also got out to a Nature Center this week. I went to find a nice soft hike that the stroller and my knee could cope with.....
But we never got outside the center, there was just too much to play with..

And reptiles to watch...

Big pillows to pretend with

or to sit on.

And plenty of stuffed animals.

 For Wil to eat...

At long last time to go!.

multi-national home

Just to let all the family know we think of you. To help us remember you all we often dress in your country flags.

Our new vacuum cleaner!

I have found a new way to clean the floor:

It works very well. It even does Lego.
It also cleans wood.

If the mountian won't come!

We finally went camping!

We found a few families in the ward that were planing a over night camp and we tagged along too.
We didn't get started until Mike got home from work, so we got to the campsite late. On the freeway going to the campsite we saw rain, yeah over the campsite. But it was light and we thought.. not a problem!! famous last words. we manage to put up our new tent, but as we started to peg it down the heavens open and it poured and started to thunder and lightening ha ha.
we all jumped into our cars to wait it out.
Half way  through the storm, Mike and I needed to check that the tent was waterproof and not needing extra protection, so we hopped out and ran for the tent. Mike made it, I didn't. Not sure what I landed on apart from a large wet muddy puddle in my only jeans!
Well the Mom in me couldn't go home after 20 minutes at the campsite when the boys have been asking to camp for 2 years! So we stayed the night and went home after breakfast.
2 days later the foot and knee was still very painful, so we sent the kids off to school and took a trip the the ER.
Luckily no big broken bones but a strained knee in a brace and a badly bruised ankle and broken little toe in a bandage and crutches make looking after a baby hard!
So I spent the last 2 weeks on the couch with my leg on a pillow and a baby on the floor next to it.
How has Wil taken to this?...Wil has decided that if mom can't come to him, He will go to Mom!
I had been hoping that he would take after Tom and not walk untill 13 months old. I have already have had a under 1 walking and it's no fun.
But Wil has a dislike to crawling, in fact we have spent months trying to get him to TURN OVER. and in the space of 1 week he has learns to turn over wiggle to the couch and pull himself UP... and in good kiddy thinking, LET GO and fall down. Over and over and over again.

I found a T

I was hunting up a big T- shirt for Wil to wear as he has had a high temp and I didn't want to cover him up to much and came across this T-shirt that was given to us for Tom!
Thought the family would have a laugh too.

For the American side of family
For the English side of the Family

And this is what he wore at night!

Easter

Last year I hunted high and low (meaning I visited alot of stores) to find hot cross buns but didn't find any. In England these are eaten on Good Friday. They are a dried fruit bread roll with a cross on top to remind us of the cruifiction of our Lord on that day. This year I found a recipe for Hot Cross buns and cooked my own. They came out great and we all loved them... but I went shopping for Easter Dinner and guess what our local supermarket was selling Hot Cross Bun!!!

Saturday we had a Egg Hunt with 78 plastic eggs filled with candy....

 Wil Found an Egg too..
And with Daddy's help found out what was inside!
mmm..... this wrapper makes a great noise.
I hid them Everywhere...I had too there where alot of eggs needing hiding places.
Each egg only had 2 candy in them!!!!
But they enjoyed hunting for them, and they are still finding lost ones!

All My Men

I was in the thrift store looking for Sunday Clothes for wil when I came across a little pair of Black sunday pants, just like his older brothers, I just had to buy and a little white shirt too.
That Sunday all the boys looked great.
