To be Wil or not to be Will

Yes! William is now 7 months old. I was going to write a post of Wil at 6 months, but Wil caught a cold and this lead to me not having too many brains from very little sleep. In fact after 10 nights of little sleep ( each night total sleep was 3 hours) Mike ask me how I could be walking around and shopping and driving!! ( ha Ha). My reply was that I was so numb that I didn't feel ANYTHING. Not even in nursing and all the night work and shift changes was it as bad as when Wil was sick with a cold.... bring on the teething!!!
Another thing I have found out with having 3 kids that we are alot more relaxed. where as with 1 and 2 we were strong in making sure we call the kids by their full name until their first birthday then shorten it down to the nick name, William has always be Wil, but it seems things are not always as they are. As mile and I have been spelling Wil's name differently, Mike as Will and I have been writing Wil, the debate is on to what way will last!!!!!!
'Anyway back to that last 7 months and all what has happen with Wil!
Alot of learning has been going on and not all of it being the baby's. How long it takes for teeth to drop down into gums and then cut. what food a sensitive stomach can handle and how much a baby can TALK.
These are just some of the difficulties we have faced.
What has Will llearnt.. well
He smiles and talks
He can sit up and Talk.
throw Cheerios on floor and Talks ( I'm sure the cheerios multiply when they hit the floor)
Play peek-a-boo with his brothers and any blanket that is handy and talks.
wakes at 3am and talks!!!
Anyway to the Photos of the last few months enjoy the quiet view of our little boy!
Look I can Rock myself.

Right out of my chair!

I can sit up all by myself....But refuse to go on my tummy!!!!

I CAN swing myself.

A big boy tub.

General conference fun.

The only thing I put in my mouth is Mum Mums and any finger I can get hold of.

Yeah I can slime everything!

Bad side effect of hair cutting

My hair has been growing since may without any cutting and by Christmas it was driving me insane, being too long and not staying up. As we were trying not to put Christmas on any cards this year there were no extra money for me to visit the hair dressers. So i asked Mike to cut it, then I asked Mike to cut it. But Mike likes long hair so he was not ever available to cut it.
So I did in a fit of a temper one morning when 3 boys was too much for 1 mom!..... I cut off the ponytail, way to short, but boy did it feel great. Didn't look good but I had short hair again and I felt alot less angry.
I wouldn't tell anyone to follow this example and would caution everyone NOT to do it in anger. But it still did feel great.
Anyway this type of behaviour doesn't pay and you know what they say about kids coping their parents actions.......
Yes Tom came home from school minus the front part of his hair, his "bangs" is US and his "fringe" in English.
all due a fit of temper due to a young lady not liking him.
I think he has learned that this was NOT the best thing to do in front of a whole class room of friends.
anyway being the mean mom I am I took pictures of him, not of me ( I hid the camera for 2 weeks so that no one could sneak a photo of me) and I'm posting them here for all to see!!

After cutting it equally we had to use hair gel....

Snow days

Yes, It's that time of year again when we get snow and the kids get official days off from school. This year most of the area storms have hopped over us and dumped on new york city.
But we finally got some snow this week. all of 4 inches and it was very fast falling and a wet heavy snow (which does more damage to tree and power cables). It started to fall at the peak of rush hour, so Many many people got caught in it going home from work which took them 4-13 hours to do. Luckily we know what the area is like so we stayed home all day and just watch others get stuck instead!!!.
We also was lucky not to have any power failures too, we were deeply concern for this as William is a little young for another 40 hours without electric ( I'm too young for no electric too).
So we have been having fun playing in the white stuff. while Mike cleared the car and parking space!!

The boys FINALLY got to use their snow disc.

Mike takes a break from clearing snow.

William not too sure about the white stuff. But makes a cute blue teddy bear.
I also shot video of the boys sledding.

Ashton is okay he just hit his head on the wall. the mom in me panicked!!!

Boys First War game!

As most of you know Mike paints for and plays war games.. Little miniature figures that on a large board fight each other .
Mike like the historic games, but little boys being boys like machines and aliens.
One the the presents this Christmas was the stuff to play a game on the kitchen table. Mike had painted up "an army" each for him and the boys and he also worked out and brought the items needed to turn the kitchen table into a battlefield.
So today was the first time that they got to 'play'.
Much to the delight of Mike.
Tom's Army

Ashton's army and the pigs he rescued.

Mike's Army

The battlefield.

The scenery.

Of course Tom Won. and Ashton captured the pigs.!

Christmas 2010

We had a great time this year preparing for Christmas and a good Christmas day too.
One of the thing we did this year was to visit Christmas lights. As William is too small for a prolong outdoor trip to the temple for lights with the weather being in the 20's F. We found that one of the nearby towns have a drive though 3 mile light display. just the thing for us... we had a great time, stayed warm, eat cookies and the baby slept through it all!
here are just a few photos, most came out blurry!
There was lights going over the road

And story telling on the sides

And lots of toys in lights too.

alot of them where moving lights alot of animals as it was in a nature reserve. this video is of our favorite one.
Christmas clean up.

Yes it's that time of year to clean out the toy box ready for new toys. Not that the toys stay in the box as this picture show the state of the boys room is in most of the time!.

Christmas day

We had a great day, the boys got alot of outdoor play stuff including baseball mitts and snow discs ( we didn't have anything to play in the massive snow falls of last winter). We are now waiting for snow to fall.

They also got robot bugs and Wii games including Lego harry potter! and figure to war game with Dad.

William got a walker, just in time as he has found his feet and wants to stand all the time. He's just a little too small.
And I finally got my laptop, Ashton feels alittle left out now and wants his own computer, We tell him that is not going to happen anytime soon as mom's own computer took 10 years to get!

'Our' Gingerbread house

We exchange Goodies boxes with Sherri and family each year at Christmas time and have fun with east/west goodies.
This year Sherri and Family decided to theme their's the 12 days of Christmas and we are having a great time opening each present each morning trying to guess before hand what it will be.
One of the days was the stuff to make gingerbread house. There have been great debate over how many houses, ie each of us having a house.with this there was the questions over who will do Wil's house?. Or if we should do One great big house, Ashton wanted a church!!. But we finally decided on THE Great house, The 'White House'. Oh did we have fun..... thank you Sherri for sending enough powdered sugar!

We have video!

Okay those that know me know I HATE being video. But my kids favorite TV program is America's funniest home movies. We sit down as a family each Sunday evening and laugh and laugh.
For the last 3 birthday and Christmas events when ask what they want for presents it has always been the same answer, a video camera. The answer I've given them each time has be a big NO. In fact it has been NO WAY.
But the new camera has a HD video capture which when played on our 32 inch TV looks really good.
The boys are over the moon, and want me to "film" them all the time. But it was Wil who we caught a funny moment on.
Sorry about the yellow.. I'm still learning.
Please beware this is my first video upload and I don't know what I'm doing!! so if it doesn't work for please let me know.
