Spots Before Our Eyes.

For some reason Tom decide to get spots just after thanks giving. Our first thought was it's chicken pox, but that was soon to be seen as not the case thankfully, As the spots grew and grew in size every hour he had more and more, the old ones just got bigger and bigger.. poor kid! he wasn't very happy.
A trip to the doctors confirmed a bad case of hives due to eating something new or different!!!.... it was thanks giving, of course he had something new or different!
So our leftovers got thrown and Tom was put on meds that made him sleepy!! and the spots went away.
But he had an extra week off school.
Tom was confined to his room when we thought it was chicken pox's in an attempt to keep him away from William.

"Mommy I'm itchy" He said

And more appeared each hour.

And they grew....

And grew.
And what did Ashton think of all this happenings in his bedroom.

But I did sew the boys Halloween costumme again this year, All I'm saying about this is that I must be mad, not just sleep depired. But here are a few of our Halloween photos. I guess I'm going to have to take more as we didn't get any of Ashton, as he was trying to find his pants that he put "somewhere". now that Mom is otherwize busy he is lerning to find his own things ( hasn't worked out that if he puts them away right he can find it later).
Happy Halloween

Early Days..... and Helping hands!

I have forgotten what the early days of a new baby were like- the feeding, diapering and the sleepless nights, well not quite sleepless just the broken-up sleep, only having 2-3 hours of sleep at a time can be hard on a person!
Grandma Assisting mom in the sleeping department.
But there are plenty on helping hands around to hold the little one... or play with his toys.

Ahhh the joy of being able to sleep anywhere or place..... or whenever.
Our little William has already started to watch his older brothers for tips on living.
lets hope he is not thinking of following in Ashton's footsteps, as Ash has successfully lost his 2 top front teeth this week. 1 of them at school, who gave him a little treasure chest for him to keep his tooth in. Aarrrr..pirate treasure for sure!

He weighed a healthy 6lb 2oz and did not need any special care, so we both came home Thursday morning and now He's trying to make sense all all that is around him.

Boats!

Well the Boats needed a posting all of it's own, as I think we went a little boat mad when we go to England.
My Dad helps maintain and run 2 boat, a tall ship sailing boat and a steam! boat.
The tall ship was out for the week we where there, but Mike and Ashton got to go on a tour of the steam. Tom had over eaten the day before at the family BBQ and couldn't move without throwing up!!
Teaching the next generation the trick of the trade!
Just in case... better make sure it fits.
"Can YOU see where we are going grandpa"

HMS VISTORY
We also got to take Mike to the HMS victory a ' really cool pirate boat' according to Ashton. Yes we have tried hundreds of times to tell him it was a navy boat that was chasing AFTER pirates. But as he can run around this real life size ship picking up cannon balls and sitting in hammocks pretending to be a pirate. It has to be a pirate ship to him.
Cannons!... where's the gun!....... This was the second time I has to run after a loose cannon ball.
Tom wasn't impressed with the restroom!.... "it's a hole to the sea, mom!"
This cannon took balls the same weight as Ashton.

We also took a tour of the harbor, Sorry no pictures as the navy ships where in and I didn't want to go through boarder control with a bunch of navy boat photos on a camera!!!!! hello homeland security.

HMS WARRIOR
Last but I'm sure not the very last time we will be on ships.
Was a visit to HMS Warrior a engine powered ship.
this one too the boys could run around on and touch things.

Castles and Forts

You know you have all boys when your holiday is filled with visiting castle, Forts and boats!.
As I like visiting castle and Forts and boats this is not a bad thing! and the boys ( that includes the hubby) all have these fun faces on when they discovery something!
So we visited Portchester castle, which is in ruins but the keep has been restored with floorboards and roof, which we walked up. Got to the top and we ALL wondered how to get me back down and why the heck they let me up there in the first place!!!!!!!
Ashton even found a tower named after Him!

I was resting on a bench when a not so little boy came and asked for the camera. 'I was tired' is my only excuse for giving it to him!!!
All art work and poses done by unsupervised children!!! in a castle.
I think this was a nook that the boys decided a statue would of been in so the posed as one.

FORTS
We also visited Fort Nelson which had the added benefit of having a Gun/Cannon musem in!
Look mom a pirate cannon!

"On 3.... 1,2,3 Lift!"
They even fired a really loud gun for us!
More Guns to climb on! oh little boys.
